T'ai Chi class begins with a 15-20 minute session Qi Gong (Chi Kung) designed to focus the mind and promote relaxation by the use of imagery, deep breathing , and stretching.  The T'ai Chi Chuan Yang style long form enhances concentration and balance while strengthening the core (dantien) and legs.  Practice also increases circulation, fortifies the heart and improves eye-hand-foot coordination.
